One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Sir,Income Tax Refunds are not being issued for years together ,even after sending grievances to higher officials including Commissioners of Income Tax , Ombudsman ,Chairman - CBDT, Revenue Secretary , Ministry of Finance ,against Timeline as per Citizen Charter ,even after PM,FM warned higher officials there is no change in the field level. Officers invented CAGING to withhold refunds exceeding Rs 1,00,000 without any authority. Accounting is as old as followed in British regime.

Cheque payments should be made mandatory to cos bcz it is a proof of payment since no co gives bill(I am talking about cos like Airtel & Reliance etc), customer is always at the mercy of cos for deficiency of service which is a reality, internal customer grievances cell or consumer court are out bound for poor & aam adami. Customer Care reps hv no customer friendly approach, which suits the cos. Customer is always at loss & doesn't know whom to approach for Rs1000/-. Only o paper it looks good

Sir, GoI is working for 1.Make in India 2.Ease of doing business among many laudable initiatives. But you will be surprised to know that the Central Board of Direct Taxes has been doing diametrically opposite to what the Prime Minister has been striving for. In 2014 , CBDT changed Form 3CD ( to be submitted by business assessees having more than Rs 1 crorw turnover) at the last minute and failed to heed to requests for extension of time and after strictures by High Court of Gujarat, etc.

nowdays generally builders are making many flat and form societies. if it will made compulsory for them to make one toilet for public use in their society then at least toilet problems in city will be solved. and cleaning and maint. of these toilets should be responsibility of chairman/ secretary of that flat's society.

Most of big service providers Inc Airtel, Reliance etc prefer cash instead of cheque payment. Today local cheque payments are also made within one or max two days. Most of the poor people get recharge for about Rs100/- and majority of middle income get recharge for less then Rs500/-. But all bills above Rs1000/- are also taken or preferred in cash. Big transactions at cos, restaurants, hotels, gas filling stns, should be preferred by offering discounts to electronic cash over cash payments.

Govt should discourage cash transactions above Rs1000/-. Only transactions through e-money, credit, debit cards etc should be accepted. To begin offer incentives to transactions made through electronic media, which is the other way. Credit cards cos offer credit for 45 days which is an eye wash and take 2-3% commission from both ie customers & retailers. Annual charges are high. For this reasons common man does not prefer to go for credit card transactions & the purpose is defeated. Continued..
