Non-institutionalised rehabilitation of divyaang children.
Every child requires love, care and safe environment with daily needs met for its overall devepment. This is naturaly avalable in a family environment.
A special child requires special care forthe same.Families may or may not have the knowledge ( uninformed or not trained/ willingness( economic reasons or others) or the comitment for the same.
Apart from training families of the special child, creating incentives in education and needs , offering medical assistance etc. I would like to suggest creation of ,"A family adoption " by families keen on caring for such families in co- habitable spaces with special amenities for special children and their families This can promote mutual interaction among all .This not only benefits the special child and its family but also promotes sensitising the society, especially children towards such people. Children grow up to be more a humane and a responsible future generation.

Early detection of children with special needs should be available and affordable. Families must be supported and encouraged to care for their children. Support and therapy should be given from an early age. Support services should be provided as per the individual requirement in the child’s natural environment. They should be made to participate in community activities and education by giving admission in normal schools along with physical and social environments. Home based therapy, community based rehabilitation, Assistive devices like wheelchair, hearing aids be provided. Counselling for children and parents and skill development are important to increase child’s development, independence and social participation.

It is about time adoption of Divyang or specially challenged people. They should be adopted by people with genuine sense of responsibility. Religious committees and organisations have for a long time helped in balancing their coexistence with the rest of the society. However, not all can be trusted.
Like my husband got influenced by some Asharam bapu type fraud religious organisation. Bhagheshwar Dham baba may have told to teach lesson to who are against his religion. It can hardly be believed he taught to harass women and children.
If children are specially challenged this type of organisation and their disciples are what the ones that should be avoided at any cost.

Non-institutionalised rehabilitation ka matlab hai divyaang bachchon ko parivaar aur samudaay ke beech rehkar hi sahayata dena, bina kisi institution mein bheje. Iske liye parivaar ko training, counselling aur ghar par therapy-friendly mahaul banana zaroori hai. Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) ke through anganwadi, school aur panchayat star par basic accessibility aur therapy camps organize kiye ja sakte hain. Inclusive education se bachchon ko normal school mein special educators aur assistive devices ka support milta hai. Technology jaise teletherapy aur low-cost devices bhi bahut upyogi hain. In sabhi ideason se divyaang bachche samudaay mein rehkar hi self-reliant ban sakte hain.
