"We are not disrespecting these people. I have accepted the doctor's demands and decided to remove DME and DHS, keeping their demands, so that commoners should not suffer. However, the Principal Secretary cannot be removed at the moment. Few more changes in Kolkata Police will be given listening to the doctors demands."

Banerjee said doctors have no faith in the DME and DHS. Making changes in other posts in Kolkata Police, Banerjee said, "We have listened to the junior doctor's demand and decided to remove the Commissioner of Police. Vineet Goyal was eager to leave the post and he had told the doctors. We will also bring changes in Kolkata Police after 4PM tomorrow and the new Commissioner of Police will be appointed and take charge from Goyal after the Supreme Court hearing. Vineet has agreed to resign. DC-North will also be removed and who will be replacing them will be decided tomorrow."
