2. Parental and Social Expectations Many parents and families still see failure or even moderate performance as shameful or catastrophic, rather than part of learning. Peer comparison, social status, and fear of disappointing family add to the burden. 3. Post-Pandemic Isolation, Uncertainty COVID-19 has had lingering effects: disruption of routines; isolation from peers; loss of support structures; anxiety about future, about health, about job markets. 4. Social Media, Screen Time, Sleep Loss The constant connectedness, comparison, and exposure to idealised or curated lives of others can lead to feelings of inadequacy. Late-night screen use, disrupted sleep, cyberbullying, etc., are also contributing. 5. Lack of Adequate Mental Health Infrastructure and Stigma Even when students want help, many do not know where to go, or feel shame/lack confidence to seek help. The number of counsellors per student is low in many places; services are under-funded; often treated as secondary

GST rate cut decision would reduce prices, boost consumption. it will help for reducing complexity and classification of goods, boost consumption. very good decision by government . By lowering rates on essentials like food, medicines, farm machinery, and housing materials, while ensuring higher taxation on luxury and sin goods, this reform aims to boost consumption, support small businesses, and strengthen India’s economic growth.

At premier institutions like the IITs, there have been 98 suicides between 2019 and 2023 in IITs, NITs, IIMs, with IITs alone accounting for 39. In IIT Kanpur, a survey found that 80% of PhD students reported mental health challenges such as anxiety. Many IITs have seen a large increase in students visiting counselling services after the COVID-19 pandemic. For instance, IIT Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, Bombay have all recorded sharp rises in counselling sessions. The increasing role of social media, screen time, and sleep disruption are identified as stressors among younger students. These numbers show that mental distress among children and students is not isolated; it is systemic. What Are the Key Drivers? These are some of the main risk factors and causes being identified: 1. Academic Pressure and Competition From early schooling, children are under pressure to excel in exams, in extracurriculars, in entrance tests like JEE, NEET, etc.

The Silent Crisis: Mental Health among Indian Children and Students Recently, reports of student suicides — including very young children — have shocked the country. These tragedies highlight a deep‐seated problem in our education system, in family expectations, social culture, and the pressures of modern life. We must understand what is happening, why it is happening, and how we can help. --- What the Recent Phenomena Tell Us While I couldn’t find verified recent reports about the 11-year-old girl in Siliguri (there may be local news coverage not yet in major outlets), several recent studies and news reports show that mental health problems among students are growing in scale, intensity, and visibility. Some of the recent findings: A report called the Student Well-being Pulse Report (IC3 Institute & CISCE) showed that many high school students across India feel persistently sad, lonely, or unmotivated.

sir, Abraham Lincoln lost 99 Times, last win became president of america. overconfident prithviraj king 👑, jaichand ideology alive. 2025 Gandhi attempted multiple narratives against the nation & modiji. how many opportunities are allowed against the Hindu nation, The majority are aware of the frustration mentality, crowd outsourcing is easier in india, paid narrative is not nation, public expect miracle somebody should take a lead to clear garbage within, 1. time alert us ,be ready with all strength and planning ,
