Research institutions struggle to integrate new talent, revealing a structural gap between formal training and real research absorption. Most skill programs focus on courses or short internships, but research demands sustained engagement, tolerance for uncertainty, and iterative problem-solving. There’s no explicit transition layer in training frameworks for this crucial readiness phase. Consequently, many graduates remain formally qualified but functionally unprepared, while labs underuse available human capital. This means a portion of skill spending fails to translate into research output, even though funds are already committed. The transition period occurs within formal roles, but its significant time and productivity costs remain invisible in current budgets and output assessments.

Greater importance should be given to products that do not harm the environment. More emphasis should be placed on natural leather products made using plant-based materials as raw materials. India is an agricultural country. There is a high global demand for leather products. Emphasis should be given to plastic-free vegan leather products. To boost the textiles sector, the necessary funds should be provided to enable the National Textile Corporation mills to operate again with a renewed structure. If the National Textile Mills begin manufacturing footwear and vegan leather products, the textiles sector and the MSME sector will grow. The textile sector, which brings in the most foreign exchange for the country, must be encouraged. Special funds should be allocated in this budget to restructure NTC and the state cooperative textile mills.

Large-scale layoffs are impacting high tax-paying private sector employees, especially in IT. Many salaried professionals have paid lakhs—sometimes crores—in income tax at 30–33% over decades. During layoffs, severance often becomes their only short-term survival support. Key policy questions: 1️⃣ Is there any unemployment allowance or safety net for salaried taxpayers during involuntary job loss? 2️⃣ Why is severance pay, meant for survival, taxed at the highest slab?

There are a lot of people with physical & intellectual disabilities in our country. There education, ongoing therapies/treatment and care is a big financial liability for the caregivers and parents. Many of these children are not suitable for employment when they grow up. The government should introduce a scheme similar to SUKANYA SAMRIDDHI YOJNA for the differently abled children irrespective of gender, so that parents who can contribute some amount can buildup a corpus for their differently abled children which may be utilised for them once they grow up

Health care is going out of reach for middle class unless they have health insurance coverage and most of the times the same is not adequate as health care expenses on an avg have gone up by 150 to 200 %. Also there is a nexus between hospitals and insurance providers and major part of the claim is rejected due to exclusions. Suggest a regulatory authority governing health care and health insurance providers so that the costs are regulated.
