1. Please increase 80C relief to at least 5L considering other indirect taxes paid for working class. 2. Respected FM, I will like to draw your attention to Sanskrit language as the percentage of Sanskrit is only 0.0019 8% of India total population of 121 crore. For that start Sanskrit college at all the 748 districts in India like Navodaya Vidyalaya which will help the mother of all language in India to survive.so please do make necessary financial aid in Budget.

Bank interest is a major source of income for retired senior citizens. Bank interest is less than 5 % now. It is at a time when inflation is more than 7 or 8 %. Hence depositors are losing money. What is more worrying is that one has to pay income tax up to 30 % or more for the meager interest the depositors get. This is more applicable for those who are still in employment. For example those in the 50s who are planning their retirement will have to pay tax for the entire interest income as they are already in the tax bracket. It is not at all justifiable to deduct tax for the amount one saves for securing his life after retirement. It may be noted that the amount saved is the money left after paying tax for the income at the rate up to 30%. In fact it is very cruel doing so. Hence it is requested that at least the government should be kind enough to adjust the inflation factor at least as is done in capital gains tax. That is indexation shall be done .

As our PM proclaims Jai Anusandhan, kindly give strength to this proclamation by making the research fellowship provided to PhD scholars in India, inline with the reality. The current fellowship is too low (31k for first 2years and 35k for next 3years) and not attractive for a student to pursue his/her research in our country. This fellowship needs to be increased annually least on par with inflation
