Am a resident of Chennai and this summer has recorded highest temperatures and right now the majority of the city is facing water crisis.
Funds should be allocated towards restoration of lakes.

"We should seriously work towards Greener India so that our next generation lives at peace. While infrastructure development projects like metro, flyovers, etc are also important and useful, it should not be at the cost of cutting down trees. We should equally plant more trees than that are being cut. Attached a statistics regarding per head tree count among different countries. India should definitely improve.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BUDGET 2019-20
Housing Policy needs major reforms :
1. Drawbacks :
1) At present throughout nation Housing stock available is by “BUY” MECHANISM ONLY
2) Very less Rental Housing stock is available
3) While many old as well as new houses are lying vacant as people don’t rent it because of draconian provision of old rent Act in many states.
4) No easy housing finance is available particularly for unorganized sector / low income

My suggestion for Union Budget for 2019-2020 will be to decrease the Rate of Income Tax Slab for Individuals. Let there be no tax upto Income of Rs. 500000/-. Let there be a Tax @ 5 % for Income from 5000001 to 750000, 10 % from 750001 to 1000000, 15 % from 1000001 to 1250000, 20 % from 125000, 20% from 1250001 to 1500000, 25 % from 1500001 to 1750000, 30 % above 1750000. Also, Standard Deduction to be enhanced upto Rs. 75000/-. Free treatment to Farmers & their family members all over India

The Government's aim at electronic financial transactions are laudable. However, to curb black money lot more needs to be done. Say for example the financial transactions that happen in Judicial system are not transparent. If you ask me why, then I will ask that as a client when I pay professional fees to my Advocate / Lawyer, does he or she pays me any MONEY RECEIPT ? I have never heard any one doing so. In fact the client will dare to ask for one. Needs to be looked into seriously by the Govt.

I would like to request following changes to be incorporated in Union Budget 2019:
* Special tax allowance / Deduction (akin to standard deduction) for salaried employees linked to inflation on fixed percentage basis.
* Increase in basic exemption limit slabs upto INR 4.0 Lakhs for all individuals.
* Special slab for very senior citizens to be increased.
* Exemption of long term capital gains on sale of immovable property received by a senior citizen (provided it is only income source)
