A person who has actually visited a factory in China told me that in that factory, a separate floor is dedicated for making unmarked and inferior goods for export to India because the Chinese have observed that lower prices greatly motivate Indians to buy. A number of sham start-ups in our Nation are actually disguising trading of such “tailor-made” Chinese goods as goods manufactured by them. Some of them are even enjoying incentives in India as successful start-ups and thus draining our Budget. They are also distorting the indexes vital to the Budget exercise. This malpractice needs termination before it engulfs more areas of the manufacturing sector. The customs/excise personnel have to check those goods with the import documents and any item unmarked as to the country of origin must be confiscated.

Please remove the cess for health and education introduced in 2018. It has been 6 years and we are in "Amrit Kaal" and wonder if it is still has not served its purpose.
