While we know the Budget in 2024 is just a vote on account, if we can address few pointers here in some form it will be useful for citizens: 1) Start a Common National Helpline for citizens to address financial literacy queries (related to Saving schemes, Equities, NPS, PPF etc.) 2) Simplify the taxation further by removing older tax regime and making new regime mandatory. 3) Make postal scheme for Naari/Women more lucrative through amendments/changes 4) Revive small saving schemes for Women & senior citizens. 5) See if New tax regime could atleast cover NPS Tier1/Tier2 as deductions.
