Comments has been asked on draft BIS STANDARDS under preparation. The scope is limited to Hindi Devnagri lipi Letter character encoding and composition rules.
I have following comments to offer :
1. Although the draft is not about Word Construction and how quick the key-board shall provide suitable letter and how effective and efficient the correct word suggestion shall be available to the hindi script user, still, it is to be kept in mind at the time of encoding that final word construct and mix should not be conflicting and use more bytes.
2. The draft has one big deficiency that must be corrected. It is at the end there should be a table clearly depicting in a table format the para wise differences that has been brought in this draft when compared to previous BIS.
3. Overall the draft appears to address all issues including the encoding construct of half letters.
4. My other observation are attached .

TO BE HONEST THIS TOPIC IS BIT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. BUT THERE IS ONE PROBLEM THAT I THINK MOST OF PEOPLE FACE WITH HINDI OVER DIGITAL PLATFORMS.
USUALLY NOT EVERY SPEAKS PURE HINDI. MOST OF THE PEOPLE USE LOCAL HINDI OR SLANGS. WHICH DOESN'T LOOK FINE DURING OFFICIAL STATEMENTS. AS YOU KNOW I ALWAYS HAVE APP AS SOLUTION.
1)SO A AAP WHICH CAN PROVIDE DIFFERENT OPTION TO USER TO CHOOSE BETWEEN DIFFERENT WAYS OF CONVEYING THE SAME MESSAGE. SAME SENTENCE WITH DIFFERENT LEVEL OF CONVEYING IN TERMS OF PURITY .
2)IF WE REALLY WANT TO PROMOTE HINDI AS LANGUAGE. APP LIKE DICT.CC SHOULD PROVIDE OPTION TO TRANSLATE HINDI TO ENGLISH OR VICE VERSA
3) MAKING HINDI KEYBOARD IN ATTRACTIVE WAY WILL DEFINITELY HELP. BUT HOW TO MAKE IT FUN? IF ONE CAN TRANSLATE WITHIN THE KEYBOARD WILL DEFINITELY BOOST HINDI AS LANGUAGE AMONG YOUNGSTERS. TBH OTHERWISE ITS BORING TO TEXT IN HINDI FOR MOST OF YOUNGSTERS.
4) WHY A FOR APPLE IS MORE POPULAR THAN A FOR AAM. IT STARTS WITH KIDS . SO MAKE IT FUN .
