The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 18th September, 2014 in New Delhi. It outlines a targeted strategy for accelerating the reduction of preventable newborn deaths and stillbirths in the country. INAP defines the latest evidence on effective interventions which will not only help in reducing the burden of stillbirths and neonatal mortality, but also maternal deaths. With clearly marked timelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and scaling-up of proposed interventions, it is expected that all stakeholders working towards improving newborn health in India will stridently work towards attainment of the goals of “Single Digit NMR by 2030” and “Single Digit SBR by 2030.”The INAP will be implemented within the existing RMNCH+A framework, and guided by the principles of Integration, Equity, Gender, Quality of Care, Convergence, Accountability, and Partnerships. Its strength is built on its six pillars of intervention packages, impacting stillbirths and newborn health. For effective implementation, a systematic plan for monitoring and evaluation has been developed with a list of dashboard indicators.

All the central Universities(CU) in India are in presently in great mess. To rejuvenate them I suggest following measures: 1.Common admission Test. 2. Common recruitment board for teachers. 3.Inter-university transfer of all teachers once in five years. 4.Common Syllabi for various courses. 5. compulsory public service training of all students in areas like cleanliness, hygiene, primary education etc. 6.Compulsory exchange of faculties between research institutes and universities.

Sir,it has been observed that most of the pharma-companies dont use standards of manufacturing of tablet/capsules. Even though our government is not taking action on same. One side we run Healthy India campaign and other side govt dont take action on these companies...kindly look into this...

wt u seed, that you reap. seeding should happen right from primary age level so that the future india will reap the benefits of that. can include morning exercises, yoga, meditation in the school as a compulsory one. children should know about the seriousness of obesity right from their primary age. Awareness program and curriculam should be set, taking this into account. we should make it compulsory in all govt run schools as they are the one who doesnot have proper awareness.

There are certain basic tests for new born that should be done mandatory in all private and govt hospitals. It helps to identify any abnormality that can be easily cured at that stage. It saves lot of money and besides a child can be disease free. In most western countries, there are about 80 such tests done on a new born.
