LPG is one of the ‘clean’ cooking fuel with present consumer base of 17cr in the country and present coverage is 60% of the households. Government of India is committed to increase LPG coverage in the country to 75% of the household. Present, LPG distributor network has more than 17000 distributors spread having presence in both Rural and Urban areas of the Country. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India is of the view that there is a need to increase of LPG coverage in the rural areas considering the benefits of LPG in terms of health and environment. Ministry recognizes that availability, accessibility and affordability of LPG are the key factors to increase the LPG coverage in rural areas. This can be done with bringing in new distributorships aligning with challenges encountered with respect of making them available to the last mile.

Therefore, Ministry solicits suggestions/inputs from citizens on the new model of distributorship particularly for the areas such as Hilly/Desert/Densely forested/other difficult locations. Also, to suggest names of locations which require establishing new distributorship.

The extant Guidelines for Selection of Distributorship is available on www.petroleum.nic.in

Every Gas agency cheating with consumer by High pricing/delay in delivery. They create artificial crisis to sell the gas High price. if Corruption free system started everyone took gas connection.

Kindly provide professional agencies for better service because SSG groups are not providing good service. every thing depends on their mood. It is practical problem in our locality.

The Efforts of the Government under Narendra Modi's Leadership with Regard to Oil and Gas are very much Laudable. All Decisions with regard to Economic Matters are ebing taken strictly according to Professional and Technical Rules and Regulations. LPG Coverage to poor people is expanding day by day. Lakhs of People have forgone their LPG Subsidies to help poor people. Now basing on the International Oil Prices teh Cost of the LPG Cylinder has come down by Rs 80/.Kudos to Government.

Convert piped gas for all cities with population of 3 lac or more. Other cities and villages then can get LPG in cylinder. We must also look at option of Gober/Natural Gas for villages. This will be cheaper and easily available. Can Gram Panchayat work towards this for common Gobar Gas plant and Cylinder Filling plan?

Hi, I wish to suggest that the agency should handover LPG cylinder to local committee in remote area according to booking. The committee which is elected by the local subscriber will manage the all distribution. The Gas agency/ Oil Companies will provide the fund to manage all locally on per LPG cylinder.

IF we can install a medium to large Gobar Gas Plants in the village where we have enough Bio Mass and Cow Dung, it will suffice close to 80-85 families and with continuous dung supply, we dont need to refill it for 6 months. After 6 months we will get perfect natural fertilizer for the agricultural products.
