All i believe that Watershed Management is scheme to improve ground water situation. Another means of doing same could be ground water reaping done at fields. This would save land and is much much more effective. Details at varshajal dot com. Attached ground water situaltion in India. For the same government should bring some funding model to enable farmers to adopt the system. Once system is establised, the task would be self triggered the way farmers purchase Tracter by them selves.

You need to deepen all lakes with technology by 20 or 30 feet deep. It will protect underground water table. Most of the lake in India are very shallow. We need to use advanced machineries and remove obstacles like rock to deepen all lakes kindly do the needful.

We should create Water storage points for every 40-50KM distance and create water flow sections beside both the roads sides. When it raining water will flow and it will save the water. It should be designed in Cities/Villages/Highways. Roads should be slightly Inclined to flow the water to water flow sections.

When we are planning for road extensions in Highways/Cities and villages. Two way roads should be slightly inclined to save water. We need to design the roads and drainage system both the sides of corners to flow the water to storage point, when its raining.

The scheme "Jalyukt Shivar" being implemented by Maharashtra government can be benefitial in many parts of country where the water scarcity is faced. Also educating the people to educate in water conservation and how to help in increasing the ground water level will help great extent in reducing the effects of draught.

As an Ex Banker/auditor,I wish to state that, my scheme will ensure an assured but limited rain water storage facility to India's 3.5 crores S & M farmers, with assured Bank loans and importantly a network which will ensure Bank loan recovery too. Its technically feasible and importantly economically viable. Will uplift India's 11.5 crore population > poverty line within 4 years. This will also in line with UNO resolution on POVERTY Elimination from world.Pl allow me to make my PPP before you
