As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

SPECIAL DRIVE FOR SC/ST/OBC/PH Candiates: Respected sir, Some PSUs/Govt are asking MBA (Finance) alongwith CA/ICWAI/CS for their jobs and some are asking only CA/ICWAI/CS. Particularly in Backward Classes only few Candidates are available with CA/ICWAI/CS. PSU/Govt issue the vacancies asking CA/ICWAI/CS & simply says "No Suitable Candidate found" and keep the vacancies as Backlog & issue same vacancies next time. Then why not MBA (Finance) with B Com is to be given chance to fill the said jobs.

LAND ACQUISITION BILL: In my opinion the bill is good but it is not possible to pass because of some dirty politics. Government should take a big steps about the farmers development before submitting the bill e.g. food security type. Government should take in confidence Mr. Anna Hazare and all farmers association about the farmers security and development. I have a suggestion, government should declare one budget session only for farmers development and celebrat the year as a farmers year

INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO LAND ACQUISITION BILL: I AM ASSUMING THAT THE BILL FAVORS 4 TIMES THE MARKET VALUE.SUPPOSING 100% LAND IS SOUGHT ( OR PROCURED ), PAY 6 TIMES THE MARKET VALUE FOR THE FIRST 20% OF THE LAND. NEXT 20% OF THE LAND WE WILL PAY 5 TIMES THE MARKET VALUE. THE BALANCE 60 % OF THE LAND, WE WILL PAY 4 TIMES MARKET VALUE. WE WILL USE LOTTERY SYSTEM FOR PICKING UP THE LAND HOLDINGS. THIS WILL MAKE PEOPLE COME FORWARD TO SELL THEIR LANDS. SUBBARAO
