India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Only the cheap labour, cheap labour should not offer. Also, the laws should not be loosed . workers/labours must be developed with country development.Unless todays situation will be bigger, i.e. rich is becoming richer and poor becoming more poorer. This must be changed.

AIDS or HIV is largely seen with truck/bus drivers due to unsafe sex, people have to be educated and proper precautionary measures to be given/taught. Due to this they also spread this deadly disease fast. Education & awareness is the key to its success

We are opening market for NRI, supporting to investors. It is okey. But, there should be a view of increasing per-capita income. The earlier Govt or say New Govt is giving free hand to investors(NRI) i.e. both are ignoring to industrial workers. In my view , if, @ abroad worker is getting 20 dollars/ Rs.800/per day, here they (NRI investors)should pay 15 dollars/600 to our workers, so that they can get cheap labour and our workers also get higher income. The policy should be thus.

Now a days there is SHORTAGE of medicines for ART.This has resulted in irregular treatment .There is risk of developing resistence byHIV virus . And irregular treatment is HAzardous.Something should be done for uninterrupted supply of ART medicines .Spread the message of regular availability OF ART MEDICINES AND patients will deffinetly seek help.THEY NEED REGULAR TREATMENT

Newly elected Govt.had promised about Black money. In my view black money of abroad, you may bring but before that pl see in our country. Where the black money / corrupted money, property etc is involved. The same should be re-covered. Especially the corrupted leaders,govt.servent/s are to be targeted. If, we recovered from them we will get lot-of.For e.g. corruption in irrigation, project-Lavasa, Bldg-Adarsh, port land of Kokan, Toll-collections, PWD related persons etc.

First we need to create awareness that HIV/AIDS can be curable provided people follow discipline and need to spread positive message with the people...and also to be highlighted to others from the person who got AIDS and how others can keep themselves away from those people or things...

Sir...we need a nation wide campaign against Aids .the population above the age of 18 and children born to parents having hiv should be subjected to tests to ascertain their aids status.Western blot test is more effective in giving results.more awareness among people towards the mode of spread and to remove the stigma associated with the disease.aids also creates other problems like spread of diseases like tb and other viral diseases to the healthy population.
