India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Unless we have a honest and a tough scruitinising agency generic drugs would cause more havoc kindly set up tough drug quality regulations and give incentives to good companies to make medicines affordable Instead if emphasis is only price rather than quality we will be facing tougher and unfortunate situations By making sure drugs do have the required standards and by not allowing to flout the rules still it can be given at affordable prices

ATM for Medicines :- It is not a Grievance and I am not making any complainant to Ministry of Health .I a not convinced with the closure of case . It is an Idea for the benefit for people across the world. When we can have ATM for Currency, Milk, Gold etc then we can also have an ATM for the medicines. Only technology is required . I will keep on trying for it s implementation for the benefit of ALL. Thanks suresh kumar

a. The rural areas need more doctors but sending graduates who just completed the course is no way to give medical care. We can have similar law to send a 10 year experienced doctors would be better. (Quality medical care not quantity medical care) b. If only students have to be sent for what ever reason, then the students can be classified into the Government quota seats (gov sponsored seats) and the private quota seat.(almost 50% of seats are GQ) Gov spends 20 lakhs for student in GQ

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a serious ailment that causes permanent blindness in pre maturely born babies as per medical reports is a serious issue government should pay attention. Except eye care specialists’ even pediatricians can’t recognize the problem when the baby is born and they have ROP.If the govt makes ROP check ups manadatory in all Govt maternity / Pvt Hospitals the blindness can be averted.in particular rural areas. There are various activities which govt can take up.
