Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

With some wonderful addition to existing feature, Digi locker can be a great addition to standardization of government documentation and also an user friendly approach towards availing services. In this direction I have listed few possibilities which may be good for adaption provided the pros and cons are efficiently analyzed.

It is indeed a great idea which will surely revolutionize the way the things work in the government office, but I still think this initiative should not take over the existing system in the offices as major of the population still has no proper internet access and this may create a chaos in the general population and the mediators in this process like cyber cafe owners may grab an opportunity to ignite fear in the public that it is compulsory to have digital locker which is not so desirable.

Sir aapki digital locker yojna bahut achi h but abhi tak hame koi bhi sarkari form ke sath documents ki copy attach karni padti h kya iski jagah ye ni ho sakta ki har sarkari form me ek digital link ke liye column khali choda jaye jisse link dalte hi documents apne aap attach ho jaye isse paper saving ki ja sakti h aur digital india banne me ek kadam aur aage ja sakte h

Since it is supposed to store important documents of citizens, Security and privacy must be the prime focus. I am sure these issues must have already been taken into consideration while designing the portal but government should start involving penetration tester and information security experts from across the industry to make sure there are no vulnerabilities.

Create APIs which can be used by various government agencies in their websites. Users can utilize this feature to attach/give reference to signed document available on digital locker while filling up application forms online to eliminate paperwork.

We can start digitizing every Government transections like Paying tax in sales tax or also putting case in Audits in any government depts. Big domain currency notes must be stopped and cards or chaques must be used, by this black money will come out people will be getting proper value of item they purchased and government will get full tax amount. Banking structure must be more user friendly and freely available to poorest for free. Digitized Money will also take us step near to Digital India!!.

Jai Bharat, acord to me Aadhar Scheme is not a Good n full security scheme it should be shut down plz its my personal opinion but behind that very strong reason... Aadhar card is not fully managed under complete security or correct info. i am from punjab n other state people also get aadhar card with the help of some vip person n factory owners. nobody know from which state or co. they belong may they are from Bdesh or some of from porkistan. i am not sure but dekhne se lagta nahi k woh bharat

Basicly after analysing Digilocker, it seems like it is made excellent and fulfiils the need of a safety locker of documents. But the problem is that it only deals with the information of AADHAR Card, like if e-mail ID is not given in AADHAR , or the person may not have email ID while creating AAdhar card , Digilocker will not deal with it. So There should be an updating of aadhar card By online so that all the schemes not only the Digi locker which are linked with AADHAR shall use it

Digital India Starts with its digital engagement of its people with its respected government. the government should have increased number of, easy to respond digital touch points for a citizen to correspond with the government and participate in the regimes. The interest would evolve when the common man sees its participation in action. In India and worldwide... what people see the most, they buy the most irrespective whether its a product or a concept of Digital India.
