Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

government provide every thing on web but what about the data charges which is nor affordable by people.so please do some major step for this so that internet reach to every one in India.

A system in which citizen have a identity card (aadhaar card) and everything engaged to the that card with a swap system from every government places, or public places etc. Where ever we want to share information we can just swap it. Now, it depends upon the swapping machine how much permissions does it have to see the information. This can be done on step by step process integrating each department with this type of system. Ultimate goal is to save important documents, and this can be done.

We need esay access to the account. And like our computer it should be able to create folder for different types of document. And I can't trust on foreign country mail site like Gmail to receive my gov email on it, it will not safe fore us in any kind of war or like pm said blood less war.so we should ues our adhar no as singin id .plz look at it.

Dear sir I have one idea. Sir if the one phone number associated print the every documents compulsory then the crime ratio is low. Voting I card associated with this number and voting done through one time OTP with this registered mobile number. Every bank details related with this number. In short all I.d. related with this mobile number. With regard Rajeev garg

Sir, although I have Digital Locker I am unable to upload my PAN card in it, so my request is if we face problems then we have to send mail with attachments and the officials staffs have to upload the same with master password. Again we my allowed to operate the same with our PAN card or voter identity Card.
