Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

There is no information about how to get the Department issued documents. Give us an e-document issuer list. Give us an option to request the issuer to issue an e-document Give us an option to request the issuer to correct/update data in the issued e-document

I don’t see any option to revoke the permission to view the shared document. It will be better if we have it Or else provide us an option to set the expire duration for that sharing Or else by default, expire the shared url after certain period (may be 45 or 60 days) of time.

it must be safe from data hacking,data collision as it keep the confidential information about every citizen of country.if there will be a miss use of these documents than it can negative influence on anybodies life. It requires a team work for usage by each and every INDIAN. JAI HIND.

Well the thing is I am still in doubt, what if the gov. is using this to keep track of us just like NSA monitoring and may be sell our information to the corporate world for data mining, Untill my doubts are cleared i won't be using it.

Digital locker is nice idea and also it's very useful for all the people who aware about computer.using the aaddhar number it must be available from any of the govt. office . we can put OTP system at the time of the download because it's a personal and very important documents and should not theft.

The Digital Locker system should be hosted by the Indian Government controlled data centers to have control on data security. Also, every department and office must be connected to the Digital Locker. All documents of a citizen starting from the Birth to death certificate, including marriage registration, property registration, educational certificates etc. must be stored and made available to individuals via this system connected with one's unique Aadhar number to avoid duplicates

For uploading documents in the digital locker, links should be provided to download the documents directly from the concerned department's website like for passport, Voter ID, School / College Certificates etc. In this way quality of documents may be ensured and no scanning is required.

#narendramodi,sir your idea of digital locker is used full whos who know how to operated comuter for those who dnt knw how to strt us like my mother or else who given date to digital locker then the peolpe like theft there date then how they will ised that idea..
