In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

yeh online communication govt and public k bich bahut acchaa hai. mai chahunga ki mygov.in website par kuch sudhar kiya jaye. like is portal par kisi bhi sub par bolne ke liye space diya jaye. isme sirf chune hue sub aur question par hi ray di jati hai . lekin isme aam public k sawalo par bhi discussion hona chahiye.thanks

First all the every Individual citizen data from all over states should be in sync with the central govt data to avoid any kind of duplication. Currently lot of Individuals are carrying multiple voter id cards with the different states & even lot of illegal citizens are carrying the AADHAR CARDS as well.

In schools, IT & ICT are the secondary subjects. Also school with 5000 students & 50 classrooms has only 10 to 20 computers which OUTDATED. So first we have to introduce new technologies to our students.

Making AADHAR card a mandate as well as and Passport requirement for every adult (Same as Voter ID) should be implemented. These could also help minimizing external threats within India. As Passport is a international Identity and AADHAR Card could hold every information, I suggest giving it a chip like Defense ID cards which holds every information from DOB to Blood group to PAN to family info. A total information card which can be used in EVERY possible situation.

THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE DATABASE OF ALL INDIAN PERSON. ALL STATE AND CENTER SHOULD TAKE DATA FROM THAT DATABASE. EACH STATE AND CENTER SHOULD NOT HAVE SEPARATE DATABASE. AT PRESENT MERGE ALL DATABASE OF ALL STATE AND CENTER AND MAKE ONE DATABASE IDENTIFY PEOPLE AND THEN CORRECTLY IDENTIFY PERSON AND THEN API POLICY CAN WORK. OTHERWISE GOVERNMENT BOTH CENTER AND STATE WILL ALWAYS REMAIN BUSY IN MAKING DATABASE AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE WRONG DATE AND CONSEQUENTLY INCORRECT POLICY
