In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

Good to know that Aadhar will have bigger role to play and govt is trying to link Sim cards with same. What ua most important is to link birth n death certificate issuance link to it and than close the aadhar window from Dec15. That will stop all future immigrants from Bangladesh and other neighborhood. After that education, Pan, Bank account, subsidy and Rupay card all needa to be linked to it for instant information. Google's help can be sought for profiling of each number.

One Suggestion: IDEAS WILL BE BORN... Every State Government identifies and confers State Awards to people with exceptional achievements in the state. I suggest that all previous state awardees should be brought on a common platform and matters of vital concerned discussed with them ... I am sure, when such exceptionally recognized people hink together, wonderful IDEAS will be born!

Respected Sir, Namaste, Being an Indian and working in IT industry, I realise we have lot to contribute to our society. One such thing which I feel is very important is the digitalization of our Police Stations. Records of criminals, cases, FIR's etc should be digitized and made available to other police stations through internet. This will speed up the investigations and also help in keeping criminals out of loose. Thanks, Rajdeep

- Digital dustbin in posh aria (like C.G Road, Marine Drives,GK1, Vasant vihar) - set digital advertisement on dustbin. - There should be online auction to bid on dustbin part for advertisement.- - Mobile application to guide you nearest dustbin from where you are. - Place dustbins in all public area, and 50 %( or whatever) part of that dustbin should be auction by government for advertisement. Use that money to pay cleaner wages :)

With a burgeoning population, burdening different national and state departments with citizen data governance is wasteful. With a national citizen data registry and policy and APIs that interface and consume this data, integrity, uniformity, and single source can be maintained. One citizen, one source, many references, many applications
