Prime Minister's Independence Day Speech is perhaps the most important speech of the year. It carries it with the import of history and the vision and aspirations of future. Delivered every year on 15th August, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Independence Day Speech is the occasion when the Prime Minister lays out the government's achievements till date and the and the programmes and policies for the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has however, for the first time, set the trend of directly seeking ideas and suggestions from citizens for formulating his Independence Day Speech. Like last year, this year too the Prime Minister invites citizens to contribute their views, their ideas, their suggestions, indeed their own vision.

So now you have the opportunity to tell your ideas, give word to your suggestions and crystallise your vision. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will articulate them.

Dear Modiji, There is tremendous change and improvement in power condition in the country. Thanks to Mr. Piyush Goyal. Power generation can become a source of income to farmers. Announce distributed generation policy in your speech. A small farmer can install solar power panel in his farms or his home and can sell the power to state companies. APS is doing such this in Phoenix in US. We can just copy it,

Dear Modiji, We build roads but they hardly have lanes drawn on it. There are no turning lanes, No sign boards on the roads. This does not cost much but it is an attitude issue. National Road Policy should include this.

Sir, India was a magnificent country and is the oldest civilisation in the world. All scientific thought in the world has travelled outwards from india and Indus Valley. A wealth of knowledge is still lying hidden in the powerful Vedas. We are not inferior to the western world. We are a thousand times superior to them. Just that we were badly exploited. If you could build this pride in all Indians to feel proud of our past and feel superior to the west and not bow down to them, it will be nice.
