Sustainable Exploitation of oil and gas potential of the North East region could be a harbinger of economic prosperity for the people of the region. Presently there seems to be a disconnect between the local communities and the Exploration and Production (E&P) operators in the region. This seems to be discouraging E&P activities in the region thereby reducing the number of takers for operations in the region. Although the Govt. of India has been taking several initiatives to promote E&P in the NER, it is essential to make the local communities an important stakeholder in the process.

Suggestions are invited from the public which could encourage people's participation in these activities.

The Import of petroleum products is the major component of our indian imports. Using BIO Fuel may bring down the imports and increase the earnings of rural india as Bio Fuel production depends on agriculture.

sir, in my opinion our india's currency is mostly using to purchasing of petroleum products.{nearly 72%), if we encourage bio diesel like brazil country, and electric bikes like china, and solar power like gujarat, then our our economy will grows and our rupee value will be strengthened. but unfortunately nobody is concerns about that things. by encouraging of biodiesel the whole farmers of india will be benefitted.and one more thing to develop the public transport everywheere 2 reduce oil usage

Ethanol blending at a higher rate should be encouraged.All secondary towns should introduce buses blended with ethanol in the petrol Manufacture of such buses should be encouraged in India. Scania could be a suggested name for buses run with ethanol based technology.

India should reduce the importing of Crude oil from other countries and should produce own own crude oil and should invent(or)discover a new type of method for the production of crude oil which should be less in cost

I use induction heater for cooking. 1 domestic gas cylinder lasts for almost 9 months at my home. Govt. rule is - if you don't book gas for 180 days, your subscription will be discontinued. I need to book a cylinder within 180 days whether I use it or not. Is this not funny? I don't need it - I don't book it. This way govt is saving some money. We import petroleum gas, Sir. Then why not subsidizing induction heaters?

Energy requirement from Petroleum product is too high in India where as supply for Same is in- antiquate specifically in NE region, main cause behind this is that we already have less Final Oil product source in NE region in order complete/match Demand-Supply curve oil industries contributing at it glance by importing product or transferring product through pipeline from different refineries, where as participation of local communities and state Governments in Exploration is equally important

The newly formed state Andhra Pradesh may require setting up of petro-chemical gas based power plants atleast 2-3 places like Visakhapatnam, Rajhmundry and Vijayawada. Such arrangements will provide easy access to cover.
