India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

I have been reading through lots of news about Indian farmer suicide due to debt . We call them king but it is very unfortunate to see these king suffering throughout their life due to lack of rain,less ROI.we stay in a place were half of the population is very rich and rest struggle to live. We have child/girl sponsor program which allow adopting them, I was searching if they allow farmer adoption, Can we do this? this way we can sponsor their yearly expense of seeds pestisides and all other

Please encourage people to donate. Just like swacch Bharat campaign start raktdaan mahadaan. This will surely encourage youngsters to donate. If our PM say a word on this then definitely things will improve.

Pl. see that the RWS & S Dept. work properly particularly in Andhra Pradesh. It suffers from lack of personnel. They provide estimates without proper survey & leveling, without design to supply water through pipes and drains in villages. As a result all funds are wasted but all houses can't get water equally and drains can not flow. All road sides ponds in villages are filled with polluted drainage water. We experience this in Tangutur, Prakasam Dist. It became non- lovable village.

Health is of 2 parts. Social. Personal. Crops like tobacco should be prohibited.manufacturing & sales of alkahals should be banned through out India but not statewide. Poverty should be eradicated without delay. Or they should be supplied free diet with eggs. All domestic drains should be properly maintained by RWS&S & municipalities. It is lacking now. 2. Personal health: Children, elders, gents & ladies should work hard or do exercise one hour/day. They should take fatless NV regularly. R.R.B

Water is required for dinking, cleaning and sanitation. Drinking water requires purification process with highest standard. The requirement of drinking water is only 5L/ day / person. Piped water get contaminated. Therefore it’s supply is to be handle with care. DJB has developed Water ATMs . It can be made available to all people at affordable cost. It will save people from many diseases. GOI should give it top priority. It will be boon to poor people.

Please direct Mr. Nadda to inquire target orientated projects to inquire mismanagement and misconduct from Gov heath center doctors to prevent future episodes to occur, similar to what happened in Chhattisgarh. This misconduct is widely prevalent throughout the country. We must abolish this to avoid international shame.
