India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

Dear Sir, Start from direct point to point 1) my suggestion over 20 city you are developing as smart city in india. Question 1. are we ready to make these city as polluted as new delhi or other metro city as delhi located most polluted city in world. suggestion: there should be a rule in India that every 1000 sq feet construction there must grow a tree .and tree must me mention like pipal, neem, mango they are more airy and give more oxygen. that makes our city clean and green.

Trafic in Mumbai can be made much better by a few simple steps. If you see Mumbai's roads, especially in the suburbs, it is obvious that the mess is in non-observance of rules. Check areas like Malad Link Road, Versova Link Road, and many of the roads inside. Double parking, parking at the BEST stops, parking at No Parking areas occupy a lot of road that genuinely belongs to people. Most of these offences are ignored by the cops.

Dear Sir, Instead of all sessions (Winter, summer and monsoon) at Delhi, they should be at different locations. At least in four Metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai) so that peoples can easily reach to demonstrate their problems. Also this will introduce the regional problems to complete house/MPAs and better options can be find out to resolve the issues. This will also reduce the travel and inconvenience of peoples from different part of the countries.
