Schools should have a daily 15 mins cleanliness drive with children either after every break or after school. This will be to guide kids not to throw anything in in school grounds and pick up the rubbish themselves. Give credit points to kids who are proactive. Award the kids at the end of the year who has maximum credit points. Encourage cleanliness and wasing hands before eating. Etc

Not sure if Modiji or any key member of the ministry will take note of this. Why is it that India , 65 years after Independence , is not able to have a reasonably clean country . Isn't that a basic thing for any nation to be perceived as civilized. If one asks any foreigner , they will tell you that its not poverty or population or corruption or opportunities they found as a striking issue in India. It is utmost lack of cleanliness and sanitation.

Cleanliness should be included in the moral of a few stories , examples , teachings given to small children. It is this feeling children devote more effectively which in turn becomes a habit , a character. As a a subject or a routine , it becomes compulsive but as a habit , a feeling they can achieve cleanliness of mind , body & soul.

Cleaning should be part of co-curriculum and routine practice like assembly or group time, where age appropriate monthly or weekly task should be given to each classes. Plastic, paper, clothing or other recyclables drive can organized in school and students can be asked to donate recyclables to school. These recyclables can be donated or send to recycling facility. If kids will be engaged in cleaning and recycling in school and in home at young age these practice will become their habits.
