**Suggestion: Simplified and Citizen-Friendly Taxpayer Services** I suggest making the Income Tax Citizen Charter more user-friendly by using simple language, multilingual support, and clear service timelines. An AI-based helpdesk, real-time application tracking, and faster grievance redressal can improve taxpayer convenience and transparency. Special assistance should also be provided for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and first-time taxpayers. These improvements will enhance trust, simplify compliance, and support a transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric tax administration aligned with the vision of **Viksit Bharat 2047**.

Simplify tax filing procedures with clear, multilingual guidance. Ensure faster processing of refunds with transparent status tracking. Strengthen online grievance redressal with fixed timelines for resolution. Provide 24/7 AI-assisted and human customer support for taxpayer queries. Conduct regular taxpayer awareness and digital literacy programs. Improve accessibility for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and rural taxpayers. Minimize unnecessary documentation by integrating government databases. Enhance data privacy and cybersecurity measures to protect taxpayer information. Introduce a feedback mechanism to continuously improve taxpayer services. Ensure transparency, accountability, and timely communication in all taxpayer interactions.

Citizen Charter Suggestions – Building Better Taxpayer Services A citizen-centric tax system should ensure that tax services are simple, transparent, timely, and accessible to everyone. A strong Citizen Charter can achieve this through a unified digital platform, clear service timelines, multilingual support, AI-powered assistance, efficient grievance redressal, and simplified tax filing. By promoting transparency, accountability, and taxpayer awareness, the Charter can strengthen public trust, encourage voluntary compliance, and create a modern, efficient, and people-friendly tax administration.

Suggestion for Strengthening the Income Tax Department Citizen Charter A Citizen Charter should not only list services but also build confidence. The Income Tax Department can introduce a "Know Your Next Stepb"feature that clearly tells taxpayers the status, expected timeline, and responsible officer after every application or grievance. A simple feedback rating after each service can help improve quality. The Charter should use plain language, regional languages, infographics, and short videos so every taxpayer can understand it easily. Special assistance should be available for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, women, and first-time taxpayers. A public dashboard showing service timelines, grievance disposal rates, and performance against commitments will improve transparency and accountability. These practical measures will make the Charter more trustworthy, citizen-friendly, and aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

AI-Driven Tax Helpdesk: Introduce a 24/7 multilingual AI Assistant on the portal to resolve common queries instantly, guiding taxpayers in plain, jargon-free language. Inclusive Priority Access: Dedicated visual-guided interfaces and priority callback features for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and first-time filers. Transparent SLA Tracking: Real-time tracking dashboard for refunds, grievances, and queries with fixed service-level timelines to enforce institutional accountability. Gamified Tax Literacy: Short video modules and simplified infographics integrated into the portal to make tax compliance easy and accessible for everyone. Expected Impact: Fosters trust, speeds up grievance redressal, reduces filing errors, and builds an inclusive, citizen-centric tax ecosystem for Viksit Bharat @2047.
