Digital Locker is one of the key initiatives under the Digital India Programme. A beta version (http://digitallocker.gov.in) of the same has been released on 10th Feb. 2015, by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India.

Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across agencies. The sharing of the e-documents will be done through registered repositories thereby ensuring the authenticity of the documents online. Residents can also upload their own electronic documents and digitally sign them using the e-sign facility. These digitally signed documents can be shared with Government organizations or other entities.

Key features of the Digital Locker System are:

• 10 MB of free space in digital locker to residents to access their documents through Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) and also securely store e-documents.
• e-sign online service to digitally sign documents

Residents are invited to use the Beta version of the Digital Locker System and provide suggestions and feedback on the same. Suggestions are also invited on the use cases for services which can be additionally provided by the Digital Locker System.

If we have a common platform for all police station to centralize the data of missing kids then it will really helpful for parent and offices to find the destination of the missing child. It can be done by privet sector but then there will issue of authenticity of the person searching for the child. If it happens thru police station then we can have the trust when someone ask for missing child.

Sir, every day we have news of missing thousands kids around our country. People do not have common platform where they could upload the data for missing or found children. There must be many situation where the missing complaint is logged in Maharashtra Police station and for the same kid there might be found case in someplace UP. If we have a common platform for all police station to centralize the data of missing kids then it will really helpful for parent and offices to find the destination

Mr. Prime Minister, I am impressed by your way of serving the nation. I want to ask a serious question today. 5-6 years ago you promised to built a GIFT city near Ahmedabad which would be thriving with jobs and great opportunities. However, twin tower is still under construction and we can see no sign of development over there. Would you be willing to develop it completely as soon as possible?

The process to get Aadhaar card should be announced clearly. People missed out in the census should be able to get it easily. Or the expected date/month for the new phase of fresh registration by government should be announced. The people who were missed out in census are finding it difficult to predict the news. Meanwhile this beta release may accept alternate ids in place of user ids. As the LPG numbers were registered with the bank details, the LPG number could play a role of user id

Address on Passport. I find it very strange that Residential address is printed on the Passports.People change their address due to various reasons (jobs, relocations).it make no to get a new passport just for getting your address updated.Address details should be captured & available in the system for verification but not printed on the passports. The only information that should be printed on passports are those information that will NOT change in the near future of passport validity (10 yrs)
