The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

Both Central and State Govt. must put in place some system wherein it should be made mandatory for the Civil Contractors, who are entrusted with the job of construction/repairing of roads either on the highways or within the cities and towns, to compulsorily plant saplings of trees which do not shred leaves easily with strong winds, on both sides of the roads every 100 meters apart. Final payment of their bills must be released on satisfying that the plantation of trees was done as per norms.

The charter of this yojana must include 1. Employment creation at village level, 2. Cleanliness for the village, 3. Literacy rate improvement for the village, 4. Achieving a caste-less mindset in that village and 5. Brand recognition for the village. Half a dozen activities for each object can be defined and implemented. One of the important activity could be taking care of irrigation need for the villagers. Solar based approach could be explored. Checks for effective implementation to be done.

To increase the trees in a city we can provide space on road dividers and other available places in a city to the shopowners ,who will maintainthe trees, every year the trees will be followed up ,a photograph will be taken in presence of the parent/ owner of the tree, If the tree is well maintained we can offer some discount on the corporation Tax. This will be an incentive , we can put decent board mentioning the names of the Parent of that tree. The tree species will be local flora

There are alot of onlinefood portals like travel khana who take food orders from Indian railway passengers travelling in train. These online portals have tied up with different restaurantsin cities who receive the order by emailand deliver the food at the passengers seat. These passengers order food from the restaurants of their choice. My food could not be delivered at Varanasi Junction as RPF people said it is illegal and passengers should buy food onlyfrom pantry car&food vendors at station.

Sir, most of residents of Barmer and Jaisalmer are earning their livlihood in Ahemedab and Gujaratis are frequently visiting sand-dunes of Jaisalmer, however it is unfortunate that this busy route has not been directly connected through rail line, it is important for the purpose of defence and famous Ramdeora pilgrim also. So many surveys have been conducted but no result so far. If the subject is given proper attention than thosands of people will be benefitted and defence side also....
