The theme "Balancing Development and Environment" shows mental disorder...when one kills environment; he kills eventually himself and society. So development at cost of environment is fake and not real development. India was slave for years and we don't understand the real meaning of development and hence such topics come for discussion. Are Mumbai,Delhi,Bangalore with such noise and chaos developed city? If so is the development with just GDP/per capita;we will realize it may be after 50 years.

In India we have vast tracks of degraded govt lands, uncultivated forest lands which have been lying idle for years together. The Govt can allot these lands to Pvt companies on long term lease for establishing man made forest. This has huge advantages socially, ecologically and environmentally. Also today our FDI policy does not permit FDI investment in such projects. Govt has to reconsider this decision and permit FDI in Biomass/tree plantation industry with appropriate terms to avoid misuse

GOI SHOULD INVEST IN NANO SOLAR RESEARCH &DEVELOPMENT TO INCREASE SOLAR POWER YIELD FROM PRESENT 20 % TO 30 % FOR ECONOMIC&COMMERCIAL VAIBILITY . INDIA IS BLESSED WITH SUN LIGHT BUT INDIA COST OF FINANCE IS MAKING UNVAIBILITY OF THE SOLAR POWER PRODUCTION.G O I SHOULD PROVIDE FINANCE @4 % INTEREST RATE WITH 20 YRS REPAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR COMMERCIAL VAIBILITY OF THE SOLAR POWER PROJECTS. INVENTIONS ARE NEEDED IN PRODUCTION OF SOLAR MODULES TO RPODUCE SOLAR POWER.

We r a majority hindu nation and mostly carry the baggage of useless rituals like immersion of idols and other religious material in the water body in our neighbourhood. We r all watching silently the polluting actions of devout hindus while they cleanse their karma by such acts of immersion. The political leadership must act quickly and ban any further pollution of our water bodies. Ofcourse there will be opposition by rival political interests to incite people against the government.

Solar energy is a good option of power generation and it is more valuable in terms of future benefit. We need some support from government so that more people can be able to setup it. Solar energy production instrument need to be produce more to more so that more people purchase it on more subsidiary rate in starting phase.

To deal with ever growing power crisis, i suggest a small change which can make a big difference. The min. operating temperature of Air Conditioners in India should be 24 degrees (except server/equipment rooms) & not below that. As a experiment it can be done across all gov. offices & then whole country. In majority offices, AC temperatures are below 20 & people wear sweaters/ackets to avoid cold. Human body's normal temp. is 37 & comfort zone is around 24. Imagine how much power can be saved !!

Solar energy is good source of power generation but instate of that we can put striling energy source to generate tremendous energy . Because solar panels are runs on light phenomenon and striling engine runs on the phenomena of sun heat... Soo their are some creative options is also available soo, we can also start some project on this
