Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

In the upcoming budget, please look to streamline the Leave Travel Allowance process. in the current scheme, there is lot of paperwork involved and there are many loop holes to claim the expenses which are not incurred by the person claiming the allowance. Why can't we put annual limit which can be claimed either from a single journey or multiple journeys during one financial year. We can do away with the "once in two year" process. Amount above the annual limit will be counted as taxable income

Its a matter of shame that Officials of Indian railway spend millions on maintaining Royal Saloons at all DIVNs and they donot have fund allocated for removing all unmanned level crossings. There are no water in general passenger coaches in 29 days out of 30 days but there is always water available in Saloons even on days its not used...there are no electricity security for general passengers but everything for saloons. We should cut expenses on Saloons and man all unmanned crossings in time fram

Government should try to implement it's developmental projects with great pace but the problem in our country is that our country's developmental projects work with very slow pace and each and every project is never completed on time but on the contrary in western countries or less developed countries they complete flyovers / road construction/ railway projects/ development projects on time or even before time and on the same time they maintain best quality of work also.

Government should increase fare of general class / sleeper/ AC class also because without money government can't modernize railways with pace . Government need to be practical and stop running government for populism it is not going to favour and fulfill indian public dreams. Government should appoint cleaning staff in every train to keep it clean and hygienic at the time when it is running on tracks.
