This task invites citizens to share their ideas, experiences & knowledge, which would assist MoPR, in delineating a roadmap for improving the ‘Quality of life’ for all the residents of a village. The quality of life indicators would include safe drinking water, open defecation free village, toilets in individual houses as well as public places, solid and liquid waste management, cleanliness of all public places as well as individual houses, pucca roads and streets, transport and last mile connectivity, power and street lights, primary health centre, internet connectivity and availability of basic services through common services centre or GP, reduction in infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate, etc.)
The roadmap may act as a base/blueprint for formulating the assessment parameters/ targets relevant to a village, and measuring the progress of a village against those parameters on an annual basis. Further, suggestions on how to involve citizens in achievement of these parameters in a time bound manner, so as to create a mass movement, are also invited.
The Scheme document may also cover the following:
• How to conduct a baseline assessment of various indicators
• How to select targets in reference to the indicators
• How to measure the progress on the indicators
• The agency to monitor and maintain records
The task is intended to provide the Ministry with insights on the methodologies for motivating village residents in improving their quality of life, leading to overall development of the village and the society.
The response to the task may be submitted/ uploaded in pdf format only.
The last date of submission is 15th December, 2014.
