Making the Mission to Clean India a Mass Movement

Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a clarion call to citizens, government institutions to dedicate 100 hours every year towards cleanliness. In his message, he writes,

"On 2nd October we are launching Swachh Bharat Mission, a massive mass movement that seeks to create a Clean India. Cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi's heart. A clean India is the best tribute we can pay to Bapu when we celebrate his 150th birth anniversary in 2019."

The MyGov platform is set to launch a dedicated website in the coming days where citizens can contribute their bit and share their experiences of volunteering for the cause thereby making Swachh Bharat a people's movement. Several Ministries and government bodies have already started taking up cleanliness drives and activities.
