To ensure participation of young children and youth in nation building and community development work there is need for Institutionalizing Youth Participation .....In my book Institutionalizing Youth Participation in Community Development Work, I have tried to highlight the ways Youth can be brought under one umbrella to participate in community development work. This alone, I feel is the proper way to mainstream Youth in nation building work where they can collectively share their ideas with the govt and the various govt agencies for the welfare of one and all in the society in addition to maintaining peace and harmony. Three Books • One Vision for India I am pleased to share three research-based works addressing important challenges shaping India’s future—water security, cybercrime and digital safety, and sustainable national development. These books present practical ideas and policy perspectives intended to contribute to informed discussion and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. I respectfully submit them for consideration by ICAI members, professionals, policymakers, academics and other stakeholders.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh was not only a symbol of courage and patriotism but also a young thinker who understood the transformative power of ideas. His life reminds us that true nation-building requires not only bravery, but also knowledge, critical thinking, social responsibility and the courage to question and improve the world around us. In the 21st century, India has a young and energetic population, and its youth can become the greatest force in building a developed, inclusive and self-reliant nation.The idea that “ideas are more powerful than weapons” is particularly relevant today. In the modern world, knowledge, innovation, technology and creativity have become powerful instruments of progress. A young person with a good idea can develop an application that improves public services, create technology that helps farmers, design affordable healthcare solutions, develop clean-energy systems or establish an enterprise that creates employment.

Bhagat Singh’s life teaches us to put our motherland first — मातृभूमि के लिए कुछ भी करने का साहस रखना चाहिए — be fearless, stand against injustice, think independently, and remain dedicated to our values. No matter how many years we live, we should do something meaningful that people remember and learn from.

Bhagat Singh remains one of India's most iconic freedom fighters, embodying courage, intellect, and selfless devotion to the country's independence. At just 23 years old, his strategic defiance challenged British colonial rule and unified young minds across India.

He was a hero

My view :Bhagat Singh was not just a historical figure; he was an eternal flame of passion, intellectual curiosity, and fearlessness. He spent his final days in a dark prison cell, not in despair, but reading books and writing letters to inspire us. He believed that the youth possess the revolutionary spark to change the destiny of a nation. Today’s youth must feel that same fire within—the restlessness against injustice, the courage to speak the truth, and the deep, emotional commitment to serve the country, proving that his spirit still proudly lives on inside every young Indian heart.

A permanent Youth Ideas Parliament could provide young Indians with a structured platform to discuss India's long-term development challenges and present evidence-based solutions. Youth representatives from schools, universities, rural communities, startups, technical institutions and civil-society organizations could deliberate on themes such as education, employment, technology, climate change, rural development, public health and social inclusion. Selected proposals could be presented to relevant institutions for consideration and implementation. The process should emphasize research, respectful disagreement, constitutional values and practical solutions rather than political confrontation. This would develop leadership, courage, critical thinking and active citizenship while giving young people meaningful opportunities to participate in shaping India's future.

Young people possess enormous knowledge in areas such as technology, languages, science, finance and digital communication. A “Knowledge for Bharat” volunteer network could enable them to share these skills with underserved communities. University students and young professionals could volunteer to conduct digital-literacy sessions, career guidance, financial-literacy programmes, coding workshops, entrepreneurship training and educational support in rural and economically disadvantaged communities. A digital platform could match volunteers with schools, villages and community organizations requiring specific skills. Such a network would convert individual knowledge into collective social capital. It would also encourage young Indians to understand that nation-building is not limited to government institutions; citizens themselves can become partners in India's development.

A nationwide “One Youth–One Community Solution” Challenge could encourage every young person to identify and address at least one problem in their village, town, college or neighbourhood. Participants could work individually or in teams on issues such as literacy, digital inclusion, environmental protection, public health awareness, women’s empowerment or accessibility for persons with disabilities. Local administrations, universities, NGOs and industries could provide technical mentorship and recognition for successful initiatives. The objective would not simply be to win competitions but to develop a culture in which young citizens take responsibility for their communities. This approach would connect patriotism with practical service, innovation and measurable social impact.
