On 15th August every year, the Prime Minister speaks from the ramparts of the Red Fort and lays out the government's programmes and policies. Over the last few years, the Hon’ble Prime Minister has directly invited ideas and suggestions from citizens for the Independence Day Speech. Similarly, this year too the Prime Minister invites citizens to contribute their inputs for New India. So, now you have the opportunity to tell your ideas, give word to your suggestions and crystallize your vision. PM Narendra Modi may pick up some of the ideas in his speech on 15th August.

**Primary Education Should Build the Foundation for Life** Primary education should not be viewed simply as the first stage of academic instruction; it is where a child's foundational learning, habits and personality begin to develop. Schools should place appropriate emphasis on foundational learning alongside nutrition, civic sense, values, personality development and physical fitness. Every child, regardless of economic background, should have access to quality primary education, supported by basic facilities such as lockers so that young students are not burdened by excessively heavy school bags. My document proposes a comprehensive national framework for primary education that combines these priorities with India's specific educational needs.

**Quality Education Should Not Depend on a Family’s Ability to Pay** Millions of middle-class families spend a significant portion of their income seeking quality education, while rising private-school costs are making this increasingly difficult for many households. One important priority should therefore be to substantially improve the quality of government schools so that families are not compelled to rely on increasingly expensive private alternatives. At the same time, greater transparency and accountability in school fee structures can help keep quality education accessible and affordable. The attached document discusses how improvements in public education and greater affordability can be pursued together.

PATRIOTISM AMONG THE YOUTH Dear Modi Ji, Vanakkam🙏 "Nationality🇮🇳and Spirituality🕉️Are My Two Eyes" Says Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Dear modi ji, It is distressing to see patriotism declining among the youth of today who are born and living on this very soil where Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar and Netaji once lived. The recent Gen Z protest clearly highlighted a specific issue: the question of where patriotism has gone among our youth. Witnessing this, neither I—as a patriot—nor countless other young people like me could tolerate it. I earnestly request you once again, Modi-ji: I believe it would be immensely beneficial for the entire nation if you were to speak about this at the historic Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort. I believe that the patriotism of the youth is crucial for realizing the singular goal of 1.4 billion people: building a "Vikshit Bharat - 2047"🇮🇳 பாரத அன்னை வாழ்க!!🙏 Bharat Mata ki Jai🙏 Vande Mataram🙏

**India’s Electronics Revolution Must Move Beyond Smartphone Assembly** India has emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing electronics manufacturing destinations, but domestic value addition can increase substantially by developing high-value components within the country. Displays, camera modules, printed circuit board assemblies and other critical components should receive policy support alongside the semiconductor ecosystem already being developed through the India Semiconductor Mission. This approach should extend beyond smartphones to televisions, monitors, servers, networking equipment, laptops and other electronics. The objective should be to develop a broad electronics manufacturing ecosystem in which Indian companies participate across the value chain rather than primarily at the final assembly stage. My attached document lays out this broader manufacturing strategy.

**Smart Traffic Management: Use AI to Make Indian Roads More Efficient** Urban congestion wastes productive time, increases fuel consumption and contributes to air pollution, yet completely eliminating congestion may not be realistic. Cities can instead use AI-enabled traffic-management systems to analyse traffic flows, optimize signal timings, identify congestion hotspots and dynamically manage traffic. These systems should be integrated with public transport planning and broader urban mobility strategies rather than implemented as isolated technology projects. I have included this approach as one component of a larger framework for making Indian cities more efficient and liveable.

**From Rote Memorization to Conceptual Learning** India’s education system should place greater emphasis on conceptual understanding, curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving rather than rote memorization and examination-oriented learning. Textbooks should be redesigned to be intuitive, comprehensive and engaging, allowing students to develop strong conceptual foundations without excessive dependence on external coaching. The objective should be to prepare students not merely to answer examinations, but to understand the subjects they study and apply that knowledge effectively. My document proposes several reforms to move Indian education in this direction.

**Education Reform: Move Beyond High-Stakes Examinations** India should progressively move large-scale public examinations based primarily on MCQs towards secure Computer-Based Testing, supported by adequate digital infrastructure across the country. At the same time, the entire examination process should adopt a Zero-Trust security framework in which every stage of question-paper preparation, storage and distribution is independently verified and auditable. This could significantly reduce vulnerabilities to paper leaks and examination malpractices while making large-scale examinations more secure and efficient. I have outlined this approach, including the infrastructure and security considerations, in the attached policy document.

**Reimagining Indian Cities: Build Better Localities, Not Just Bigger Cities** India’s urban development should move beyond building individual roads and infrastructure projects towards the integrated redevelopment of entire localities. A proposed **Locality Redevelopment Programme** could systematically redesign selected neighbourhoods, bringing urban planners, architects, engineers and other specialists together to address roads, pavements, drainage, greenery, parking, public spaces and utilities as one integrated system. This approach can transform existing neighbourhoods into safer, cleaner, more accessible and more liveable communities rather than simply expanding cities outward. I have outlined this approach, along with the supporting urban reforms, in the attached document.
