Dear MyGov members,

Thank you for your enthusiastic participation on MyGov!

Today MyGov has over 6.5 lakh users from India and abroad, actively participating in discussions and tasks on policy matters put by 18 Government Ministries and Departments, as well as participating in contests.

MyGov receives on average about 10,000 posts per week, which are analysed and the key findings are shared with the concerned departments for further analysis and incorporation in their action agenda.

Digital India is a key focus area of the government, leveraging technology for transforming India into a knowledge based economy. Conceptualised under 9 pillars, as shown in the figure tweeted by Shri Anurag Thakur on 24th November 2014, the government is focussing on making technology central to enabling change in public services delivery and citizen engagement.

For such a country-wide initiative, it is critical to take inputs from the citizens, the ultimate beneficiaries, and leverage their collective feedback to improve planning and implementation. With this view, a group on Digital India was created on MyGov to take inputs from users on critical topics, as mentioned below:

All MyGov users would be happy to note that comments on these discussions and tasks from 21 users have been accepted by the department for further action!

Further, these users have now been invited for a discussion on Digital India with the Hon’ble Minister of Communications & Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, on 29th November in New Delhi.
