The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in collaboration with MyGov invites creators, influencers, students, and citizens across India to participate in the TRAI DND Reel Challenge.
The challenge aims to create widespread awareness about reporting spam calls and unwanted commercial communications through the TRAI DND App. Participants are encouraged to create engaging and informative reels that explain, demonstrate, or creatively communicate the importance of reporting spam and using the app's features to help build a safer digital communication ecosystem.
The objective of this challenge is to:
* Encourage citizens to actively report spam calls and messages through the TRAI DND App.
* Promote awareness about the importance of spam reporting and consumer participation.
* Educate users about the features and benefits of the TRAI DND App.
* Strengthen consumer protection through responsible digital engagement.
Participants may create reels around themes such as:
* How to report spam calls or SMS using the TRAI DND App.
* Why reporting spam is important.
* The difference between blocking and reporting spam.
* Features and functionalities of the TRAI DND App.
* How consumers can lodge complaints and track complaint status.
* The role of citizens in combating spam communications.
Contest Categories:
The challenge will be conducted across the following language categories:
1. Hindi
2. English
3. Other Indian Languages
Each category will be evaluated independently. Participants may submit their reel under only one language category.
Eligibility:
* The contest is open to Indian citizens only.
* Participation is open to creators, influencers, students, digital content creators, and the general public.
* There is no entry fee for participation.
* Each participant may submit only one entry under one language category.
* Multiple submissions by the same participant may lead to disqualification.
Participation Process:
Participants must:
1. Download and explore the TRAI DND App.
2. Create a reel of 30–60 seconds on the TRAI DND App and spam reporting.
3. Upload the reel on a public social media platform such as Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.
4. Follow and tag the official TRAI handle on the same platform where the reel is uploaded.
5. Use the mandatory campaign hashtag #SpamKaTheEnd.
6. Submit the public reel link on MyGov.
7. Share their active Instagram or Facebook ID for communication and verification purposes, if required.
Reel Submission Guidelines:
* Reel duration must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.
* Video format must be MP4 only.
* Reel must be created in portrait mode (9:16 ratio).
* Audio and video quality should be clear and suitable for public viewing.
* The reel must be original and created by the participant.
* Content must focus on the TRAI DND App and spam reporting.
* The reel should be informative, relevant, and aligned with the contest objective.
* Content must not be misleading, defamatory, political, abusive, unlawful, or in violation of platform guidelines.
* The participant's social media profile and post must remain public throughout the evaluation period.
Invalid Submissions:
The following submissions shall not be considered valid entries:
* Static posters or images.
* Selfies or unrelated photographs.
* Jokes, memes, or unrelated comedy content without relevance to the TRAI DND App.
* Screenshots without reel/video content.
* Reels not related to spam reporting or the TRAI DND App.
* Entries without a valid public reel link.
* Entries posted from private accounts.
* Entries without the mandatory hashtag #SpamKaTheEnd.
* Entries that do not tag the official TRAI handle.
* Entries where the participant has not followed the official TRAI handle on the platform of upload.
* Entries containing copied, plagiarized, stock, AI-generated, or third-party copyrighted content.
Mandatory Hashtag:
Participants must use the following campaign hashtag in their submission:
#SpamKaTheEnd
Entries without the mandatory hashtag may be disqualified.
Official TRAI Social Media Handles:
Participants must follow and tag the official TRAI handle on the platform where the reel is uploaded.

Evaluation Process:
All valid submissions will be evaluated by a Jury Panel constituted by TRAI.
Evaluation Criteria:
1. Relevance to the TRAI DND App and spam reporting – 30%
2. Creativity and Originality – 30%
3. Clarity of Communication – 25%
4. Audio-Visual Quality – 15%
5. The decision of the Jury shall be final and binding.
Winner Communication and Verification:
Shortlisted participants and winners may be contacted by TRAI for verification, clarification, or coordination purposes. Participants must ensure that their MyGov profile details, contact information, and social media IDs are accurate and active. Failure to provide correct information or respond within the stipulated timeline may result in disqualification or cancellation of prize eligibility.
Intellectual Property Rights:
* Participants must ensure that their reel is original and does not violate any third-party copyright, trademark, privacy, or intellectual property rights.
* Upon submission, the Intellectual Property Rights of the reel shall vest with TRAI.
* TRAI shall have the right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and disseminate the submitted content across various media platforms without any further compensation to the participant.
Disqualification:
TRAI reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:
* Does not comply with the contest guidelines.
* Contains incorrect or misleading information.
* Violates copyright, intellectual property rights, or platform guidelines.
* Is considered unsuitable at the sole discretion of TRAI.
* TRAI reserves the right to reject any entry without assigning any reason.
Prize Disbursement:
Prize money shall be transferred electronically, subject to successful verification of identity, bank details, and any other required documentation. Participants must ensure that their MyGov profile details are accurate for reward processing. TRAI shall not be responsible for delays or non-payment arising from incorrect, incomplete, or unverifiable information provided by the participant.
General Terms & Conditions:
* Participation in the contest implies acceptance of all terms and conditions.
* Organizers shall not be responsible for lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrect, or technically flawed submissions.
* Proof of submission shall not be considered proof of receipt.
* TRAI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the contest at any time without prior notice.
* Any disputes or legal proceedings shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only.
* Any expenses incurred for participation shall be borne solely by the participant.
* Participants shall indemnify and hold TRAI harmless against any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from their submission, including infringement of third-party rights or breach of these terms.
Acceptance of Terms:
By participating in the TRAI DND Reel Challenge, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by all rules, guidelines, and terms and conditions of the contest.

There will be a total of 9 winners across 3 language categories. Each category will have 3 winners:
Hindi Category
1st Prize – ₹25,000/-
2nd Prize – ₹15,000/-
3rd Prize – ₹10,000/-
English Category
1st Prize – ₹25,000/-
2nd Prize – ₹15,000/-
3rd Prize – ₹10,000/-
Other Indian Languages Category
1st Prize – ₹25,000/-

In addition to the prize money, winners may receive a Certificate of Appreciation and their winning reels may be featured on TRAI's official social media platforms.
