The Padma Awards are among India’s highest civilian honours, recognizing individuals for their exceptional and distinguished contributions across various fields.
“PeoplesPadmaAwards 2026 – Reel Contest,” organized on MyGov Platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, encourage citizens to create 60–75 second reels capturing the inspiring journeys of Padma awardees. The contest highlights how ordinary individuals have made extraordinary contributions to society and earned national recognition through these prestigious awards, while also encouraging participants to reflect on how these stories inspire them and how they are incorporating similar values and actions in their own lives.
Participation Guidelines:
1. Eligibility: Open to all Indian citizens.
2. Duration: Typically, 1 minute (60 seconds) or up to 75 seconds.
3. Format: MP4 format, portrait mode (9:16 ratio), high resolution.
4. Content: Must be original, not previously published.
5. Submission: Submit the link on the MyGov portal; the video must be publicly accessible (e.g., Google Drive, YouTube, Instagram).
6. Language: Hindi, English, or any regional language (captions are recommended).
7. Guidelines: The content must not be offensive or hurt sentiments of any religion, caste, gender, or community.
Gratification
Top 10 winners will be rewarded INR 21000/- each
The Top 10 winners will be provided with an opportunity to attend the Padma Awards Ceremony live at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Logistics arrangements (For Winners Outside Delhi NCR)
Travel:
Winners will be provided with economy class air travel to attend the event. The travel arrangements will be supported by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Any winner below 18 years and Girl below age 23 will be accompanied by a Guardian.
