Inspired by the legendary character Gupi from Satyajit Ray's iconic film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, I designed this highway safety mascot to promote road safety in a creative and culturally relatable way. I sincerely hope this concept will be recognized and adopted by the Government for public road safety awareness campaigns.

This mascot is inspired by the idea that highways are the foundation of India's progress, connecting every region, community, and opportunity. Rather than representing only a road, the character symbolizes guidance, protection, sustainability, and innovation—core values that define NHAI's mission. Its cheerful personality creates an emotional connection with citizens while promoting safe travel, responsible road use, and pride in India's world-class highway network.
