As the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 moves into implementation, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is rolling out a nationwide awareness and capacity-building programme covering Government, industry and citizens. This programme needs a distinct visual identity - a Logo and a Tagline that will appear on every awareness and communication asset, all promotional materials (physical and digital), events, conferences and workshops, the DPDP Handbook, social media campaigns, posters, films and digital properties etc.

MeitY in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to design a Logo and coin a Tagline that captures the spirit of the DPDP Act - the citizen's right over their personal data, trust in India's digital economy and responsible data processing. The Tagline should be short, memorable and submitted in both English and Hindi. The winning identity will represent the DPDP awareness programme across the nation.

Selection Criteria

1. Effectiveness in conveying the core idea of the DPDP Act - privacy, trust, citizen empowerment and responsible data use 
2. Originality and distinctiveness; the logo must not resemble any existing Government or commercial logo
3. Simplicity and scalability -  must remain legible from a website favicon to a conference backdrop, in colour and monochrome
4. Versatility of the logo across digital and print applications, light and dark backgrounds
5. Tagline: brevity (Not more than 8 words), recall value, and equal effectiveness in both Hindi and English
6. Coherence between the logo and the tagline as a single identity, along with the quality of the design rationale.

Technical Parameters

1. Logo to be submitted in JPEG / PNG / PDF format on MyGov (recommended up to 4 MB) at minimum 300 DPI; vector source (AI / EPS /CDR / SVG) to be furnished by the winning participant
2. Submission to include: logo in colour and monochrome; logo lock-up with the tagline; and the tagline in both English and Hindi (Unicode text, not only as image)
3. Colour values (CMYK/RGB/HEX) and font details to be specified in the design rationale (not exceeding 150 words)
4. The creative must not carry the participant's name, watermark or any identifying mark
5. Entries must be original; entries generated entirely by AI tools, or using copyrighted fonts / clip arts / stock elements without licence, shall be disqualified.

3. 2nd Prize (For 2 Winners): ₹50,000/- each (Rupees Fifty Thousand each to two winners
