Catch The Rain - Selfie or Reel Contest

The #CatchTheRain Selfie or Reel Contest is being organized by the National Water Mission (NWM), Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR) under the aegis of the Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS), in collaboration with MyGov, to encourage citizens to showcase their efforts towards rainwater harvesting, water conservation, groundwater recharge, and sustainable water management.

Participants are invited to create and upload an original Selfie or Short Reel highlighting how they have contributed to saving rainwater, harvesting rainfall, reusing water, or promoting water conservation in their homes, schools, workplaces, farms, or communities.

Through this contest, citizens can become active ambassadors of the nationwide #CatchTheRain campaign and inspire others to take simple yet impactful actions for water security.

Turn your action into inspiration! Share your story of conserving rainwater and motivate the nation to make every drop count. Whether it is a rooftop rainwater harvesting system, a recharge pit, water reuse initiative, or a community-led conservation effort, your reel or selfie can help build a water-secure India.

Mandatory Requirement: All entries must prominently feature and be posted using the hashtag #CatchTheRain. Entries submitted without the hashtag #CatchTheRain will not be considered for evaluation.

Technical Parameters:

1. Participants may submit either a selfie or a reel using the hastag #CatchTheRain.
2. Selfie submissions must be in JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg) or PNG (.png) format and should not exceed 2 MB.
3. Reel duration: 30 to 90 Seconds, suitable for Instagram/YouTube Shorts, public posting required using #CatchTheRain.
4. Can be in English or any regional language with English subtitles.
5. Post the reel on your official X, Facebook, Instagram/ YouTube account by collaborating and tagging with the @nwmgoi/national water mission page
6. The submitted selfie or reel must be original, created by the participant, and must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
7. The submission should clearly depict the participant's efforts towards rainwater harvesting, water conservation, groundwater recharge, water reuse, or any sustainable water management initiative.
8. The selfie or reel should be of good visual quality, clear, and suitable for public viewing. Basic editing is permitted; however, excessive manipulation or misleading alterations are discouraged.
9. Entries must not contain any watermark, promotional branding, or copyrighted material belonging to any third party.
10. All submissions must prominently feature the hashtag #CatchTheRain. Entries submitted without the hashtag #CatchTheRain will not be considered for evaluation.

Gratification
Best 10 entries will be rewarded with e-Certificate by National Water Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
