MyGov Talk - Vote for Selection of Projects in Itanagar Smart City Proposal

Itanagar is in its second stage of Citizen Participation where opinions will be sought for selection of ABD and PAN City strategies and identifying projects. The objective of this third Webinar shall be to thank the citizens for their participation so far and to sensitize them to participate in the second stage. Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) has ramped up its efforts to ensure citizen participation in the development of the Smart City Itanagar proposal through various Citizen Workshops, Essay and Painting competitions for students in schools, Smart Itanagar Logo Design Competition, Vision Design Competition, Roadshows, Smart Itanagar stall at Statehood Day event, Opinion polls, social media, household surveys and online discussions. These activities were focused on understanding the issues faced by the residents of the city and their vision for a dream Itanagar. Over 50000 citizen responses have been received through online and offline media which have helped IMC in identifying and prioritizing the issues and challenges of Itanagar and also in outlining the vision and goals for the city. Citizens have also voted for selection of Area Based Development (ABD) zone. Zone B has emerged as the clear winner. Zone B includes Indira Gandhi Park, Secretariat and adjacent offices, Clock Tower area, Ganga Market and Transport Station areas. Our core objective for this Webinar is to once again request all citizens to discuss, debate and vote for the proposal strategies and options that have been developed. This voting will give us a clear strategy in terms of what shall be the most successful schemes.
