GCCS 2017 - MyGov Panel Discussion on New Dimensions of Citizen Engagement & Participatory Governance

MyGov, on behalf of Ministry of Electronics & IT, would be hosting a session on “New Dimensions of Citizen Engagement & Participatory Governance” on November 20th, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 4.30 P.M. at the Ballroom 3B, JW Marriott Hotel, Aero City, New Delhi. The panellist’s would be discussing the various facets of public engagement for better governance in relation to technological advancements

The key focus area of the discussion by the panellist’s would be to:
1. Put forth the need of citizen engagement for a participatory governance module and how the same has been achieved by MyGov using different modes of engaging the citizens
2. Discuss the impact of citizen engagement initiatives to the last mile of the society
3. Identify ways the citizen engagement can be further improved along with the reach –
especially overcoming the limitations posed by the digital outreach and understanding.
4. Discuss global trends in Citizen Engagement leveraging Digital Technology
5. Success stories of Citizen Engagement for participatory governance across the globe
6. Discuss key learnings from the Global community
7. Design a roadmap – Amalgamation of technology and media and their usage to enhance
reach and elicit citizen inputs.
8. Throw light upon the use of latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine
learning, heuristic search, augmented reality, block chain, etc. to improve citizen
engagement at platforms like MyGov.
9. Discuss on emerging growth of data analytics and its role in helping government
optimize the use of these platforms.
