Census Connect – Selfie Contest

The Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India (ORGI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to participate in the "Census Connect – Selfie Contest".

The campaign aims to generate public enthusiasm and encourage community participation in Census 2027, India's largest administrative exercise. Through this contest, citizens are invited to capture and share a memorable selfie with the Census Enumerator, celebrating their participation in this historic national initiative.

Participants are encouraged to click a creative and meaningful selfie that reflects their support for Census 2027 and the spirit of active citizen participation. The selfie should be shared on a public social media platform along with the official campaign hashtag, demonstrating the importance of public cooperation in building a stronger, smarter, and more inclusive India through an accurate and comprehensive Census.

This initiative seeks to inspire greater public awareness about the Digital Census and encourage citizens to become ambassadors of Census 2027 by sharing their experiences and motivating others to participate in this landmark national exercise.

Submission Guidelines:
• Capture an original selfie with the Census Enumerator during the Census exercise and upload the selfie on the MyGov portal.
• The selfie must be original and should not contain any misleading, offensive, political, or unlawful content.
• Participants must ensure that the privacy and dignity of all individuals appearing in the photograph are respected.

Gratification:
The best selfie entries will be featured on the official Census 2027 social media handles.
