Jan Aushadhi Diwas

To create greater awareness about Janaushadhi, an entire week from 1st March to 7th March will be celebrated as 'Janaushadhi Week' across the nation, with the theme “Daam Kam - Dawai Uttam”. The last day of the week, i.e., 7th March, will be celebrated as 'Janaushadhi Diwas.'

With a new vision and the target of opening 25,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country to ensure better accessibility for citizens, the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, is focusing on engaging more entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and citizens to raise awareness about Jan Aushadhi medicines, which are available at 50% to 80% lower prices through more than 15,000 Kendras.

On the occasion of 7th Janaushadhi Diwas, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) and MyGov have organized various compelling activities to popularize the Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana among the general public.
