New India Championship: How to play and win?

  • New India Championship is a two month long championship on MyGov starting from 26th May 2017 to engage citizens like you in building a New India!
  • The Championship is hosted on the 3 years website of MyGov
  • For every task you participate in, you will earn points to scale you up the Leaderboard
  • The Championship offers a new activity every day for you to participate in starting from (date)
  • Apart from the activities of the day, you can earn additional points by
    • Complete your MyGov profile (points will be credited for one instance during the period of 2 months)
    • Refer MyGov to friends and family, earn points on each successful referral (Link)
    • Refer BHIM app to friends and family, earn points on each successful referral (Link)
    • Share videos, infographics, pictures from each section of the website
    • Translation
  • Points will only be credited to the person's profile once his entry for the activity of the day or Swachh Bharat activities are verified and approved by Team MyGov
  • The points for the aforementioned activities are as following:

  • The Championship is open to all citizens of India, Non-Resident Indians and Overseas Indians
  • Citizens can participate in "Activity of the Day" as well as past activities. However, certain quizzes will only be open for a duration of 7 days.
  • Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. Government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants. If at any stage of the contest or afterwards any infringement is bought to the Notice the winning entries will be withdrawn and the winner barred from participating in any future MyGov endeavor.
  • Participant must ensure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since Government of India would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
  • Government of India reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Championship and/ or the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform. It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed as to any changes in the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
  • The last date for submission (except Quiz) is midnight of 26th July, 2017.
  • Any citizen participating through multiple MyGov accounts may lead to disqualification of the person
  • Employees of MyGov and their family members will not be eligible for prizes or any rewards
  • MyGov will not be held responsible if the participants are not able to upload their entries on MyGov portal before the last date & time of submission for any reason whatsoever.
  • Following are the type of activities citizens can participate in throughout the championship

Logo Design

  • The logo must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
  • The logo must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The winning design of the logo would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it, after announcement of the result. The prize winning logo is meant to be used by Government of India for official, promotional and display purposes.
  • The logo must be in English or Hindi language.
  • By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to participate in the event and eligible to claim prize. may ask you to submit proof of your eligibility at any moment till the contest is open
  • Entries made on behalf of another person would not be rejected subject to the person have only one entry in the contest. Logo Contest is an individual contest and joint submissions by two or more persons will be rejected
  • Entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, reconstruct, forged or tampered with will be summarily rejected.
  • By participating in the contest the participants declare that the work submitted by him is an original work and does not infringe any third party’s rights such as copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets includingimage rights.
  • The participant should upload the logo as a file in JPG, PNG or CDR/AI format in high resolution.The Logo should be in high resolution with minimum 300 DPI.
  • The winner of the competition will be required to submit the design in an editable and open digital file format.
  • Do not imprint or watermark your logo design. Any watermark or imprint on the submission may lead to rejection
  • Logo should be designed in color.
  • For actual utilization of the award-winning logo, the size may vary from 4 cms x 4 cms to 60 cms x 60 cms..
  • The Logo should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook, on printed materials such as b/w press releases, stationery and signages, video material, etc.

  • The Government of India, if it so decides, reserves the right to not to proceed with the competition at any stage.
  • At any stage for any reason if the entry is found to be infringing copyright the selected entry might be rejected.

Slogan Creation

  • The winning slogan/tagline would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it, after acceptance of the prize. The prize winning slogan is meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purpose, IEC material and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate for the initiative.
  • The slogan must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The decision of Government of India on selection of winners and prize shall be treated as final.
  • The disqualified entries shall not be used by Government of India for any purpose and Government of India shall have no intellectual rights over the same.
  • Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/its entries/winners shall be subject to local jurisdiction of Delhi State.
  • Government of India reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the contest and/or the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform.   • A small description (140 characters) should be provided to explain the concept.
  • Description should be in English or Hindi Language only
  • The slogan/tagline should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and on printed material such as b/w press releases, stationery and signage.
  • All the entries received by Government of India would be assessed for award by the Selection Committee.
  • Entries would be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity and artistic merit of how well they communicate the theme of the scheme.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants for any or their decisions.
  • The selected entry will be notified through appropriate channel .

Poster Making

  • The Competition is open to all Indian citizens only.
  • All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • The winning entries would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it, after acceptance of the prize. The prize winning entries are meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purposes and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate.
  • The entries must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The participant must be the same person who has designed the poster; plagiarism would not be allowed.
  • Please note that the poster design must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
  • Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
  • Participants should upload the poster in JPEG/PNG format only in size A4.
  • The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the poster in an editable and open file format.
  • Participants should not imprint or watermark the poster.
  • A small description should be provided to explain the concept of the poster.
  • All the entries received by Government of India would be assessed for award by the Selection Committee.
  • Entries would be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit and visual impact and how well they communicate and promote the message of breastfeeding.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants for any of their decisions.
  • Government of India would have the right over the winning entry for usage in a way felt appropriate by it. Winning participant would have no right or claim on the submitted entries once the prize is handed over. Government of India shall not use the disqualified entries for any purpose and shall have no intellectual rights over the same.
  • Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/ its entries/ winners shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi.

Essay Writing

  • The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest.
  • The participant must be the same person who has written the essay and plagiarism would not be allowed.
  • The participant should submit the essay in .PDF file format only.
  • Essay Text font should be only among three type:
    1. Book Antiqua,
    2. Cambria,
    3. Times New Roman.
  • Font size should be 12.
  • Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
  • Paper Margins: allow 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides
  • Number of Words: 1500
  • All the entries received within the due date will be placed before a Selection Committee for final selection. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on all the contestants.
  • The essays will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
    1. Central Theme (20%)
    2. Coherence and Organization in Structure (20%)
    3. Creativity (40%)
    4. Clarity in Language, Expression and Style (20%)

Video Creation

  • Videos are to be uploaded on www.youtube.com and the link to the same must be shared on www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • Videos with poor visual quality may not be accepted.
  • The submissions must not have any water mark. Though the user can use subtitle in the video created by him.
  • If the content of the video is other than English and Hindi, the video must have subtitles in Hindi or English.
  • The submission must not contain art work , video, image unless he has the permission from the original owner.( The organizingteam if found at any time that the artwork, image or video is owned by someone else may ask for the submission of approval of the original owner)
  • Only one entry must be submitted by the participant.
  • The winning names would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it. The prize winning entries (first, second and third in each category) are meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purposes and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate for the initiative.
  • The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The participant must be the same person who is the actual video clip maker (as the case may be) and plagiarism/copy right infringement of others is prohibited and would be punishable.
  • Please note that the entries made in all or any of the three competition categories must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
  • By participating in the contest the participants declare that the work submitted by him is an original work and does not infringe any third party’s rights such as copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets including video rights .
  • The participant must ensure that the video avoid any deliberate product placement( like name of participants office, college, etc)
  • The video clip should not be of more than 5 minutes duration and should be about related efforts, innovations or traditions of the theme of the contest.
  • Videos are to be uploaded on www.youtube.com and the link to the same must be shared on www.mygov.in.
  • The submissions would be evaluated on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, simplicity
  • Every entry would be evaluated on its own merit and while the idea of transparency explained in greater detail has greater salience, a merely detailed entry would not adversely prejudice another innovative and original idea or entry, but not explained in that greater detail, from being adjudged better.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants for any or their decisions.
  • Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/ its entries/ winners shall be subject to local jurisdiction of Delhi State.
  • The final winning entry would be decided by the Government of India by a specially appointed panel.

Photography

  • All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • The winning names would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it. The prize winning entries (first, second and third in each category) are meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purposes and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate for the initiative.
  • The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The participant must be the same person who is the actual photographer (as the case may be) and plagiarism/copy right infringement of others is prohibited and would be punishable.
  • Please note that the entries made in all or any of the three competition categories must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
