As part of the Smart City Mission, SPV- Smart City Ahmedabad Development Limited (SCADL) is holding the competitions to design streets and junctions. The competition is called "Make Your City Smart".
SCADL invited process of converting plan to projects and are gearing up to begin to roll out of these projects, co- creating every steps ( ideas, and strategies , innovative and frugal solution ) through an extensive consultative process with all stakeholders mandated in the smart city mission . Under this project, SCADL has initiated a competition involving “citizens” in the design of Area-based development such as Streets and Junctions etc. Gandhi Ashram Street covering Junctions From Juna Vadaj (Dandi Chawk) to Subhash Chawk to RTO Junction has been chosen for the competition.

The participants have to design and give the desirable situation (target). The design will be assessed by SCADL on its do ability and innovation. The participants of the competition can be from any walk of life and may include citizens, students, technical experts, teachers and others. The Top three competitors (winning entries) will receive prizes and will be converted into DPRs/RFPs by the PMC after modification, if any. The final winning entries will be selected by a jury comprising local officials and eminent citizens and experts.
