As per extant indirect tax statutes importers are permitted to discharge Customs Duty liability / Central Excise dues (in case of procurement of domestic capital goods under EPCG authorisations) by way of debit to Scrips like SFIS, SEIS, MEIS, VKGUY, FPS, FMS and so on. In the GST regime also the same should be permitted in respect of Customs Duties and IGST payable for imports. Any restriction will dilute the benefits provided to the exporter under FTP by GoI
