Registration of Births, Deaths and Still Births in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths Act (RBD Act), 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. But the system for application and generation of Birth and/or Death certificate which is called Civil Registration System is facing challenges in ensuring prompt services delivery to the public.

Hence the Government of India has decided to introduce transformational changes in the system through an IT enabled backbone leading to Registration of Births and Deaths in the country on a near real time basis. The implementation of such reforms are conceived at the local level within the respective State/UT Governments who are required as per law/rules to undertake the implementation. For this purpose we have decided to leverage discussion forum to take feedback from the general public and identify key problems, assess the gaps and take suggestions on improvement of the contemporary process of registration of Births & Deaths and issue of certificates.

Following are the issues for discussion in MyGov platform:
a) What is the utility of Birth Registration? What happens if a citizen does not have Birth Certificate?
b) What is the utility of Death Registration? What happens if a citizen does not have Death Certificate?
c) How can process of birth and death registration be made so simple and important that citizens will voluntarily register birth and death occurring in their families and will also assist and educate other families to do the same?
d) Are there any issues or challenges in the current birth and death registration process? If yes what is the root-cause of such challenges? How can these issues be resolved?

PM Modi government immediately should announce to public 1 Family, 1 child, like currency demonetization.
In present Digital India procedure this is possible.
If more than one child, then there will be no birth certificate, no school admission, no addition of name in ration card,no passport, no voting right,no any paper service from government side.
Then everything will be alright. The resources will be protected, housing, food, education, medical all will get all. Do this protect Bharath

Seventh pay commission was given to Central govt. Employees from Jan2016 many states drowned by BJP govt have not implemented seventh pay commission as yet, this can lead bad name to BJP govt. In all states govt by BJP may kindly be advised to implement seventh pay commission immediately. This can lead constant win of our BJP party.

There must be a separate unique hospital only to deal with pregnant women and delivery with world facility one at every district. The cost of treatment must be borne by the central government but only to those patients who agree for family planning...even if you give some monetary benefits it would be good..as most of the present govt hospitals don't have good lady doctors, cleanliness, apart from poor infrastructure..pse do think

Digital Fingerprinting of each newborn with UID of parents Male and/or female, should be carried out.
Digital & DNA Fingerprinting of each deceased at each cremation grounds or hospitals at city and taluka level would aid in UID of deceased.
The government employees should be induct with technology and knowledge to carry out the National task.
Handy Digital and DNA Sample and Fingerprinting Scanner would aid faster creation of database.
