Draft guidelines for Skills Universities are formulated by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in consultation with multiple stakeholders including Skills Universities. These are placed on the MSDE website for comments/ feedback.

Comments and suggestions may be sent at paritosh.gupta95@nic.in or submitted on MyGov.in by 21st October 2018.

National Policy for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship 2015 emphasized the importance of Skills Universities to be promoted either as de-novo institutions or as a part of existing university landscape. Further, in the wake of Skill India Mission, a number of universities with the nomenclature of “Skills Universities” have come up. However, they are following different norms and varying nomenclature for the degrees awarded, in the absence of common standards in the skills arena.

Skills based education differs from its general counterpart in terms of curriculum, pedagogy, faculty, mode of delivery, eligibility and assessment criteria, etc. and thus, would require a separate set of norms. The purpose of these guidelines is to lay down minimum norms for the establishment and functioning of Skills Universities to ensure adherence to minimum standards as India ventures into these new skilling avenues.

These guidelines do not intend to supersede the extant UGC norms regarding the regulation of higher education in India.

india become developed country in future if indian people refused to use the machine ( mobile battery, bullet train, chinse object, helicopter ,air craft ,fighter plane ,tank, missile, computer etc.) because developed countries like Russia , America, china, France,Japan,and isarel etc it made the indian economy, technologies sector weaker and made indian people handicapped.so it our duty to developed our own technology it shows our real development progress.Name- SAMPOORNA RAJ, BIHAR.

some skill development progrmmes also for 40 yers onwrd people.people pf this age can contribute a lot to the society.i joined sports in 2016 plued fr masters games bt i cant be a coach justt bocoz nis hv age limit. so plz make sure to run such prohrmme related to sports .

Namaste Sir savi H.S school me skill training center kholna compulsory karne parenge minimum 50 seat ke liye aur sath me NGO se milkar PPP model jaysa karne parenge. sathi me MODI ji ekbar ailan kar de pure INDIA pe ke jo jo faculty aur Prof. apne najdiki center jakar student ko muft gayan bate free me.

GP and Villages 10-12 boys be trained for LED bulb making, rewinding of electrical motors, computer hardware, Agriculture equipment repair and maintenance,piped water supply schemes construction technician like fitter,plumber,mason,valveman etc., maintenance of Iron/Arsenic/Fluoride removal plants etc to tackle unemployment problems and livelihood through skill development..in urban area AC repair ...etc urban jobs can be created.

Faculties should be trained enough to deliver the required Microsoft Office Tools and Techniques to the students at advance levels. Encouragement need to be provided to sports and extra curricula activities and make NSS and NCC mandatory for all. This will help to increase team work and cohesiveness in bringing the ideas together. syllabus should be less, but expertise must be focused. Focus on subjects should be "how to execute any work".

महोदय पहले विद्यालय स्तर पर कौशल का महत्व बढ़ाया जाए। स्कूल्स में तो व्हाइट कालर जॉब के लिए ही पढ़ाया जाता है। उससे भी बुरी बात ये है कि विज्ञान विषय को श्रेष्ठ और मानविकी (आर्ट्स) को बेकार माना जाता है।
